Trayvon’s killer won’t suffer – he lacks a conscience & has money

zimmerman smirkEverybody wants to believe GZ will suffer. Pffff. If smirky George had a conscience, this might be true. If he wasn’t getting his legal expenses paid by private donations, this might be true. But now he’s got money, is nuts, arrogant, self-deceiving and self-aggrandizing. His wife is a lady willing to perjure herself for personal gain. And, George has presently situated himself outside of the US where he might experience trouble, in a secret overseas location where he must feel safe.

The LA times considers some hard questions quite a few people must be wondering about:

Though (George’s) website is used primarily to collect money for Zimmerman’s living expenses and legal costs — estimated at $30,000 a month — it also serves as an information clearinghouse on the case, with court documents, trial updates and a media request form.

The site is also used to bludgeon public figures and commentators who dispute Zimmerman’s innocence … nearly 2,000 words were devoted to disputing the work of Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart, who is sympathetic to Martin and critical of Zimmerman.

What’s most interesting to me, though, is … how Zimmerman has spent the hundreds of thousands of dollars that have flowed to him in donations since he was charged in May 2012 … (His lawyer said) “If $61,747.54 sounds like a lot of money for living expenses for 8 months — you are right. It’s more than most people earn in a year. Most of George’s living expenses for the first several months were allocated to providing a safe, secure place for George and his wife Shellie, to live.”

(Shellie Zimmerman is in trouble of her own. In April, she was arrested on suspicion of perjury after telling a judge at her husband’s bond hearing that they were broke. Prosecutors say the couple had raised $130,000 in the previous two weeks. Her case has not yet gone to trial.)

Zimmerman, they said, also spent some $56,000 on security, $76,000 on legal costs, and another 10 grand or so on miscellaneous expenses.

And on 30 May 2013 the Times reported: In January, the defense fund had raised more than $314,000 through public donations. Now it’s asking for $120,000 more.
Almost half a million in public donations. $10,000 spent on miscellaneous expenses. What do you say about GZ suffering now?
