Lucia Vazquez Valdez con 86 a\u00f1os de edad es la mayor del tribu los Negros Mascogos. Son descendientes de personas que hacen 170 a\u00f1os huyeron del inminente yugo de la esclavitud en los Estados Unidos para M\u00e9xico donde la esclavitud se hab\u00eda abolido desde 1829. Establecieron un pueblo en el desierto de Coahuila que nombraron Nacimiento de los Negros. Todav\u00eda celebran Juneteenth, el d\u00eda de la emancipaci\u00f3n de los esclavos afroamericanos estadounidenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucia Vazquez Valdez, 86 years old, is the oldest of the Black Mascogos tribe. They are descendants of people who 170 years ago fled the imminent yoke of slavery in the United States to Mexico, where slavery had been abolished in 1829. They established a village in the desert of Coahuila, Mexico which they named Birth of the Negros. They celebrate Juneteenth, the day African-American slaves were emancipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
