I’m not much for supporting Big Box companies. I also don’t shop for a hobby – or even window shop, and I can count on my fingers the number of times in a decade that I set foot in a mall. But I do occasionally shop in a grocery store or watch a movie, so this list is useful even for me. Because I’d rather support a business any day that’s serious about keeping patrons safe, than one that enables “armed creeps”. Wouldn’t you?
Charlie Self, who composed the list, says:
Here’s the extracted list of Big Box companies that don’t allow armed creeps in the door. I think it’s great. My feeling is that if you want to shop fully armed, move to Somalia. These are the good guys.

Hat tip to Han Broekman for sharing Charlie Self‘s list
Oh, OK Dorothy Schwartz. Never heard that myself, but makes sense 🙂
I guess the term was used a few years ago and I haven’t heard it lately. But it’s a company with liberal policies, left-leaning.
Okay, so heading to Costco (which also has going for it that it is a “blue” company and treats its employees well) and Whole Foods.
Dorothy, what’s a “blue” company?
Oh :p
I read that Charlie made up the list, didn’t see (my bad) that you said it came originally from gun nuts.
Han Broekman I thought I said that three different ways in my post. Did I make a hash of that?
Thanks for sharing Han Broekman!
The list was originally a list of stores that some gun nuts wanted to boycott. Charlie Self extracted the list and put a positive spin on it. Do go shop there. Do NOT boycott these stores.
