In accordance with Gov Murphy’s ongoing plan to reopen the state, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announced that the following amenities will be open to the public at all county parks beginning 6 am on Saturday, 06 June:
Tennis is permitted, for singles play only, on alternate courts available for use
Pickle ball is permitted for singles play, on alternate courts available for use
James A. Mc Faul Environmental Center (Wyckoff) Grounds will reopen to the public for walking activities, Indoor facilities will remain closed.
Park Restrooms to open, minimum of one per park, subject to all guidelines and restrictions in effect, effective 6 a.m., June 6, 2020;
Limited Boating is permitted to include Kayaks, Canoes, Sculls limited to single occupants, subject to acceptance and approval by the County of an operating plan compliant with CDC and other applicable social distancing guidelines.
Mr. Tedesco offers this cautionary advice as state and county residents resume outdoor activities:
This global health crisis has been a trying time on everyone but I am encouraged that these next steps may bring us one step closer to reaching our new normal. However, I ask all residents to please still exercise caution as we are not yet out of this crisis. We must remain steadfast in our efforts to continue reducing the spread of COVID-19 by following CDC guidelines, practicing social distancing practices, and obeying local, county, and state emergency orders.
