Breaking: now you can register or change your NJ voter registration – online

New Jersey now offers online voter registration services. To register, download the free New Jersey Elections App from Google Play or the Apple store, or visit the New Jersey Online Voter Registration website.

You can now register to vote or update information such as a change of address, name change, or party affiliation – instantly.

To register online, you will need your date of birth and one of the following forms of identification:

A current and valid Driver’s License or a non-driver Identification Card (ID card) issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). Your registration information will be provided to the MVC to validate identification, and to retrieve a copy of your digitized signature.

OR

Social Security number
To use your social security number, you must have the ability to sign on-screen (using a touchscreen enabled device) or upload your signature to complete the registration process. If you are unable to provide a digital signature by either of these methods, you can not register online. Click here to download the voter registration application for your county.

13 October 2020 is the deadline to register or update information for the general election on 03 November 2020.
